Trips
My neck hurts and stomach rumbles. Dirty clothes and dishes seem to be mushrooming exponentially. Yet, I'm writing and posting hubs here (after months of pulling a disappearing act; truthfully, did you even notice?), because for a writer to put stain removal, crusty dishes, a little hunger and pain relief first--before fueling her or his soul--is an option that can only lead to the death of creativity.
Okay, yes, admittedly, I'm somewhat of a drama queen...But, as an avid writer yourself, can you tell me the above isn't true? (If you can, shut it: You aren't really a writer.) On the slightly less theatrical side, I'm also a mom, wife, small business owner, survivor of various life experiences (both fun and not-so-much), self-appointed, semi-professional advice giver, and the biggest fan of Starbuck's vanilla soy chai lattes you'll probably ever meet. There. I said it. Sue me for liking a chain. (You won't get much.)
That said, I hope you find my hubs entertaining and worthy of all said sacrifices. (There are many more, of course, but I'll save the rest for actual hubs). I know you've also made many sacrifices along your own, rather solitary, creative journey--and I look forward to learning what I already know are very good reasons why.
Oh, and also: I operate a small business writing, designing, and publishing beautiful memoirs. For those interested in learning more about it, check out www.writelifestories.com. Thanks! :-)
